Just looking to do a quick upgrade to my Sport. I just want to make a little better to shoot for the range and field drills while keeping weight down and efficiency good.

I want a upgraded trigger that is not really a stage 2 match trigger, but something that's a def noticeable step up improvement from the stock trigger without spending 200 bucks.

As far as the muzzle break, I just want something that's gonna cut the recoil a little and fire rate if at all.

What do you recommend?

Check out Bill Springfield at Bill Springfield - www.TriggerWork.net

He will take your factory trigger, polish and tune it for about $45, or you can buy one of his. Maintains the reliability of the original single stage trigger while giving you a greatly improved trigger pull. Turn around seems to be about a week.

As for brakes, for many the Miculek and its' clones seem to be popular and reasonably priced. I spent big one time and am very happy with my choice. The Lantec Dragon is spendy, even at the $125 price I found it at, but worth every penny. Recoil and muzzle rise are all but non existent.

Good Luck with your search, and good shooting. :D

nice muzzle option.. now if I can find it for $125 that will be great

another vote for the Lantac. I also have a Geissele SSE, but if I had it to do over again, I might go another way. The Geissele is a fine trigger, but for what i am using the AR for, it's almost wasted money. The ALG or Bill Smith job would be a better choice imo for a basic general purpose gun, ie range use, SHTF, HD, etc.

ALG ACT trigger, smooth Ni boron/teflon coated surfaces, best buy at $64.

this looks like a good option worth trying out.. I have 4 other stripped lower receivers to spend more on LPK/triggers anyway.

I have Timney 4lb triggers on my M&P Sport and my LR308 and love them. Very consistent trigger pull from one shot to the next. They're not cheap but they work great for me.

I been wanting to get that same Miculek muzzle brake also. Here soon I hope. I have read nothing but great reviews on it.

geissele g2s trigger and SJC titan comp. just a fair warning, people well then hate you at the range if you buy a titan.

DPMS Jerry Miculek Muzzle Brake.

I got it last Tuesday and all I can say is "WOW"! This muzzle brake preforms like a champ I felt like I was shooting a .22 mag rifle. It reduces the recoil to almost zero and we all know that AR's really don't have that much to begin with. The muzzle rise is reduce quite a bit also, I was using the standard A2 flash hider and this new brake is the bee's knees. I can stay on target and keep my sight picture a lot easier with it than that of the A2. Here are some Pics of course. This is installed at a 1'0'clock cant, this is what Jerry recommended for right handed shooters and it worked well. Shot some .223 perfecta and it was like shooting a completely new rifle. Highly recommend this muzzle device. I did forget that it is much louder than the A2 that was on it. Not sure how people at the range are going to react when I shoot with other's around, well guess I will find out someday.
