muzzle break/flash reducer question

i'm sure several will address the proper terminology for this device, however my question is- if i'm getting the mp 15-22 with the factory muzzle break, and some aftermarket one comes along later...is the factory one removable? i always like the longer muzzle breaks and a longer overall length barrel as well

Yes the factory flash suppressor is removable it's threaded on with a standard 1/2" x 28 right handed thread.
