This is the continuation from this post: Three years later and it wont be the same
About a month ago I decided to do something about the rifle while clearing some space in my closet. First I got the barrel threaded, then got tackled fitting a new rail to it. I took the quad rail off, got an adapter, and fit one of our Modern Carbine MC5 rails (from the rifle company I work for). I had to trim the rail and the upper to fit like I wanted to, and it now has an ever so slight gap between the two. I had some Griffin Armament furniture from the trump bucks program and threw it on there. Threw in a geissele g2s trigger in it since I already have a SSA-E in my 68 hunting rifle and a SD-C in my travel pistol. I put the leopold VX6HD on since I didn't have a rifle to mount it on. Yes, it is over kill but it's what I had so it's what I used.
