I received my new to me Model 27-2 with 4 inch barrel that I bought from Lee Jarrett today. The gun has a couple of small inperfections in the Nickel finish but it's a great gun. I switched the grips out with a set I had that I liked better and I think it's beautiful.

Thank's Lee for the professional deal and the great gun.

But how's anyone else going to buy prime 27-2 if you snatching 'em all up?

The rest are all yours as this finishes me up on Model 27's. I have an unfired 8 3/8, Nickel 6 inch unfired,6 inch in 98%, 5 inch 98%, 3 1/2 inch 98% except name under grip panel, and now the Nickel 4 inch. I'm done with 27's but they are my favorite S&W.

I lied as I went to the gun show in Springdale Arkansas today with the notion that I just wanted to look around and see a post election gun show. My last gun show was last October to the same town and we got there at noon on Saturday and walked right in. I got there at noon today and there was a line around the entire lobby of the convention center and it took us twenty minutes to get in. The place was packed and the dealers had obviously raised their prices to take advantage of this great situation for them. I toured the show and was almost out of there clean with nothing in hand and I remembered Dave's Guns was in the far corner. Dave is a pretty good ole boy and he usually has some pretty nice S&W revolvers. Well he had a bunch of nice ones including a 99% 14-2 with 6 inch barrel for $475, 17-2 in 8 3/8 barrel that was 99 % for $550, a Nickel Model 27-2 with 6 inch barrel in box for $750, and a Nickel Model 27-2 with 5 inch barrel new and unfired in a presentation case with a new cleaning kit for $795. He and I talked and I ended up taking the 27-2 with 5 inch barrel in the presentation case for $775.

I almost made it but I guess I could not pass on that one up because it is my favorite S&W in a great barrel length and a great deal.

I'll get pictures up later.

Nice gun! I also went to a gun show today, same situation but I got there a half hour before opening and was still 50 people in line , by the time it opened you couldn't even see the end of the line wrapping the bldg. Everything overpriced $1000 beat up 29's no 27's at all, there was a nice 25-5 4" 45LC in pres box that would let go for a grand, thanks but no thanks, oh I seen my first $1500 28 as the guy told me it was a S serial # gun and I told him he had better hang onto that one as those are super rare! Anyway congrats on your new 5" looking forward to seeing it.

Like I said over at Sig, that is one sweet 4" Nickel.
Congrats on the 5" as well.
I'm going to a gun show tomorrow hoping to find a resonably price 3.5" or 4" blued 27.
Hopefully I'll have the same luck as you

4 inch barreled pinned and recessed 27's are very rare and if you see one at a good price jump on it. They were only made for like 2 years.

There are lots of 5, 6, and 3.5 inch around but the rare ones are the 8 3/8 and then the rarest is the 4 inch.
