I did pick up the 342Ti, after getting advice from several of you here.
Finally got to take it to the range.
(Please excuse my cellphone photography.)
The holes that don't have tape over them were made from 12 feet after about 20 rounds to familiarize myself with the gun.
These 5 shots were Winchester 125gr sjhp +P ammo.
Weaver stance, rapid fire.
(I was actually doing better than this by the time I left.)
The gun with the Uncle Mike's boot grips weighed 11.8 oz. at the dealer, which was the same as my 340PD with Hogue Bantams.
After putting Bantams on the 342, it came down to 11.1 ounces.
Recoil didn't seem any worse than shooting the 340PD, as I didn't shoot anything but .38s in it either.
The 158gr. fmj ammo seemed worse than anything else, even the 125gr. sjhp +P.
I fired 50 rounds and didn't have any lingering pain the next day.
Really enjoyed shooting the gun, and could have easily fired another 50 rounds, but I've learned that getting carried away with an Airlite can leave me sore.
In some of these pictures, you may be able to make out the residue/burn marks on the front of the cylinder.
I got this on my 340PD also, and haven't found a way to get it off.
I only shoot fmj ammo, and don't want to remove the coating on the Titanium cylinder, so I've not gotten too aggressive with my cleaning.
Any suggestions?
Last couple of pictures compare the J frame to my LCP.
The LCP weighs 9.5oz. with the empty mag inserted. Loaded with 7 shots of fmj ammo, in the holster, it weighs 12.6oz.
The 342Ti weighs 11.1oz. empty, 14.4oz. in the holster loaded with 125gr. jhp +P ammo.
