My 617

It's a no dash, and I found it with box, papers etc.

Looks unfired.

The no dash is arguably the most sought after of the 617's, and to find one in that condition with box and papers is a nice score. Here is the 4" version of your gun.

I'd love to find one of these for my girlfriend. Must be an especially soft shooter with that long barrel.

Great find! I love my 4" 617, IL and all. One good attribute of my 'short barrel' 617... I can be in the same time zone as the gun's muzzle, ha! Seriously, what a great find.

Merry Christmas!

Congraulations as it is very hard to find a no dash in that condition and with the factory combat grips. The temptation for most owners is to sell the combat grips for big bucks and then put rubbers or S&W target grips on them.

Nice gun, I have the same one. I was at a gunshop looking for a Ruger MKII and the guy says I just took this in on consignment. I couldn't whip out my credit card fast enough!

I have been tossing around the idea of converting it to 10-shot, but it feels very similar to my 686 now so I hate to mess with the timing.

I've always liked the Concalo Alves Combats. They are definitely staying on it.

Very nice! It now needs its full lug "companion!"

Or "no lug" companions ! :D

A 617 is the "Masterpiece" K-22 you get when you find out how great the blue ones are. A natural progression, if you will.:)

I gotta' get a full under lug version like you guys ;) Outstanding pics fellas!

I have both a 4 and 6" 617 no dash. I love then both. Both are very accurate. You did well to get that one with box and papers.

Damn, GF....those Ashland guns kill me! :( One day I'll own one! I may have to just settle for having a lug milled though :/ Beautiful guns all around

I'm one of those guys. The combats are horribly uncomfortable for me so I sold the pair off my 4" 617 and replaced them with nicely-figured targets but did keep the ones on my 6" 617 as they have beautiful figure. I shoot the 4" a lot more than the other one; the 4" just balances more nicely in my hand.

same here. they are about the most uncomfortable grips i have ever put my hands on. but i plan on keeping the Combats that came with the 617s, and both now wear some Ahrends.
