I traded a friend a glock 17 for his 624 (at his pestering request). It had a 6.5 barrel. Found a 3" on gunbroker. I sent it to S&W for a recall verification on the cylinder, had them change the barrel , it cost a whopping $ 60.00, and they paid for shipping both ways. The finish match wasn't great, so I cleaned it up with a little mothers for about an hour. AND,now I present my new favorite gun. I am thinking about a square to round conversion, using the same style grips, except in the round butt.I have a bad feeling this is going to turn into an addiction of some sort, I already have visions of a 44 magnum just like it following me home.

WOW! You came out the winner!

RB is good, but perhaps some Hogues can make the grip a bit smaller w/o having to get the grip reshaped. Just a thought.

7.5g Unique and a 250g cast SWC and Bob's yer uncle!
:)

Nice looking piece! You definitely made out best in that deal.
