Ordered it last Friday and was told it would ship out later this week. Got a shipping conformation yesterday, and it was at my FFL this morning when I got up...morning is 11:00 AM for me.
Brought it home and ran a brush and swab down the barrel and off to the range I went.
After hearing about the uncomfortable recoil, I was hoping to put at least half a box thru it. Maybe I'm not recoil sensitive, or maybe my hand will be killing me later, but I put 100 rounds of Winchester white box 130 grain FMJ thru it, and 20 rounds of aluminum case +P I found that I probably bought 30-35 years ago. Couldn't tell any noticeable difference in the ammo as far as recoil. Could be due to the age of the +P?
Bottom line, it's not a target revolver for sure, but at around 25 feet I was most happy with my results. Seriously thinking about making this my EDC. I even like the factory grips.
It's way lighter than my Glock 27, and pretty close to my LCP I carry some.
Did S&W go back to cardboard boxes on some models?
