Picked up a new set of Altamont grips for my 66-4. Could not be happier with the fit and quality. They don't look too bad either so I thought I would share.

My new Altamont boot grips in Rosewood will be here today for my 442 J-Frame , I can't wait...! BTW gun looks great..!

I really like the boot grips and was considering getting a set for my new 625. But , somebody had mentioned that the 625 feels better shooting it with the smooth target grips. Have you shot it with magnum loads yet?

Those look great on your 66 and thanks for sharing. I was under the impression that Altamont stocks were made from some kind of plasticky laminate material. I used to have a Md 657 that came with Altamonts that I thourougly disliked. I'll have to check out their product line 'cause what you have looks great.

They are rosewood and feel great. I just put them on, so I cant give a range report on them yet. I might be going to the range Monday so I can possibly give a report then. As far as shooting magnum loads, probably wont be able to say much as I rarely shoot magnums out of her. I baby her with a steady diet of specials. When I carry her which is a rare event, it's with Federal Hydra Shock 147 gr +p+ which are not very hot.

They look great.
I just received my first set from them for a Walther P38. Wood was nice Black Walnut, real wood no "laminate", the exterior shaping, fit and finish were perfect. Drop dead gorgeous! The insides of a P-38 grip is a maze of ups, downs and cut outs....the fit was spot-on. They even sent 4 different length screws to get a perfect fit. P-38's were war time manufacture by several different makers so frames vary big time!
I'll give Altamont a big 10+ for fit, finish and the extra screws are a big +!
Gary
