I have a few smiths and paid standard price for most of them because I just wanted them. However this last weekend at the Fort Worth gun show I did find a bargain. Not on a table but a person carrying this gun in hoping to sell it. I ran into them in the hallway as I was leaving and they were coming in. When they quoted me $375 I never flinched, by the time others saw what was going on they were trying to buy it from me for more on the spot. I'm going to try to get to the range when I can to see how it shoots but it has target trigger and hammer and presentation grips. While not as good as some bargains I see people post I'm pretty happy with the deal.

They look like standard smooth S&W presentation grips to me.

Pre-mim and pre-lock for sure. The hammer has the firing pin on it and is flash chromed. Great deal.
I thought it looked too shiny to be stricrly a stainless finish. I never heard of a chromed stainless before. Is that a factory option?

It is a -1 and is stainless that has been polished. The grips are Smith& Wesson.

That makes more sense than a chromed stainless. Extremely good find. Congratulations.

Sir, "flash chromed" refers to the hammer and trigger, rather than the whole gun. Later stainless guns came with case-colored hammers and triggers.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.
