Well gang, no easy way to say this but "I have crossed over into the dark side". The wife said the Sigma was too big for her to carry. We Love the Bodyguard 380 but 7 380 rounds in my mind isn't enough. So, she got a Glock 26, or "Baby Glock" as they are called. Very small and light with 10+1 9mm. She will carry with the 12 +1 mag. She loves it and I do too. Now for the worse news guys. I got myself a Glock 30. It's a sub-compact 45 ACP with standard !0+ 1 capasity. Smaller than the Sigma and weighs a little less loaded. I may carry it with the G21 13 round mag, not sure yet. Can't wait to hit the range Monday. I'll give a report then. But I can tell you this, the triggers are awesome. 5.5 lb pull and 1/2" of travel to BANG! Now y'all will hate me even more. I traded in the 2 mirror polished Sigmas.

Best of luck with your new guns! Perhaps you would give us a long term update.

You didn't cross over to the dark side, you crossed over to the SMART side. I love S&W for their revolvers, but for semi auto's, you just can't beat a Glock. It's ok, the others will get over it!!!!!

I predict that you will both love your individual choices. The M26 is a great concealed carry piece and the M30 is one of the most accurate of the Glocks and a lot of power in a small package.

It's too late for an intervention, isn't it? We could have pointed out that the Sigma also weighs less if you load only 10 rounds... :D

Congratulations on finding guns that you and your wife will both enjoy shooting!

If you are happy and satisfied, well, you have chosen well and smart will continue to enjoy the pistols and sport and be a responsible representitive for all gun owners. Good luck. And I second the idea of a follow up report in a few months.

If you really like the Glock better, more power to you. To me, firearms are all about reliability first and feel second. I don't doubt Glock's reliability and if it feels better in your hands and when you shoot it, you made the right choice.

That's great. Nobody has a problem with Glocks. We have have a problem with the arrogant "Glock owner" that says Glock is the only game in town. As long as you don't become A TYPICAL "Glock owner" then you're all good. Follow the instuctions in the manual and stick with their ammunition recommendations and I am sure you will have a great firearm for a long time. Don't come back on a post that you fired the gun underwater or you burried it in concrete for a month or any BS like that. Treat the gun as if it were your only means of life or death and take care of it. You'll only crossover if you start tell all of us that we are stupid for owning S&W's and for liking our guns. I personally would never own a Glock. I use reloads, cast, +p and +p+ rounds in my Sigma and every other handgun I own without any problems at all. If I were to use the same in a Glock without seriously modifying the gun I would not have a trigger finger muchless a hand anymore. I have fired many of Glocks and they always stove pipe within the first 10 rounds. If you have good luck with the glock, more power to ya.

SSHHH!

My Glock 22 is for sale. I'm replacing it with an M&P 40. Don't wake up the sheep! Seriously, though, I don't know what you've been shooting. I don't particularly like my Glock, but it has never once, even brand new, ever failed to feed, extract, or fire. It's the other stuff, like balance, grip angle, that odd, spongy trigger... Doesn't help that you need another barrel if you want to shoot lead handloads.
