Mine is a Ruger EC9s in 9mm. Out in town, I have it in a front trouser pocket in a Allen holster, with an extra magazine. On my property, the same carry, only I have the extra mag with hollow points AND a second mag filled with Speer shotshells. Believe it or not, this little Ruger feeds shotshells. We have a few "Mr No Shoulders" here in the mountains. :)

Warm/hot weather is a Springfield RO Elite Compact in 9mm. During cooler/cold weather it's been a 5" 1911 in .45acp however I'm excited to add the custom 65-3 3" I recently picked up during the times I can wear a covering garment.

I have four that I carry on a regular basis. What I carry largely depends on what I'm doing at the time. If I have to go to the city, it's the 4006 w/ spare magazine. If I'm in the woods, it's my 4" Redhawk. Around town here it's either my Colt DS or my 3" 65-3. And actually, nowadays when I need to go to the city, it's not only the 4006, but that with a combination of others.

What grip tape is that on the PX4 Storm? The rubberized Talon Grips do nothing for my hands, so I use the granulate, but I can't tolerate that for long on my bare skin carrying appendix. I just received my new Talongrip Pro's which are a hybrid, but I haven't put them on yet.

Left to right:

1. A ported S&W Performance Center M&P9 Shield M2.0 with orange Ameriglo iDot night sights (porting is not necessary, but I want every advantage I can get on a small pistol),

2. S&W M&P9 M2.0 Subcompact with Ameriglo orange square front night sight and a serrated blacked out rear sight,

3. Ruger LCP II,

4. SIG P229 Enhanced Elite with Grayguns/Legionesque upgrades, Hogue G10 Grips, and XS Standard Dot night sights chambered in .357 SIG and 9mm (for practice), and

5. Beretta PX4 Storm Compact Inox with Langdon Tactical Technology upgrades including the orange square Ameriglo nights sights with a non-serrated but thinner blacked out rear. The DA/SA is amazing on this pistol.

The SIG gets carried the least as it's usually my dedicated nightstand pistol. The others are all fairly equal depending on what I'm wearing (though I probably carry the LCP II the next least of all). It's tough to pick a favorite, but perhaps the PX4 Storm Compact (at least as of today).

Very similar to mine

LCR 38 SPL all year- pocket carry

Rossi M720 44 SPL- shoulder holster season

My EDC is very close to yours

The Rossi 720, probably the most under rated revolver made and S&W 438. Occasionally a Beretta PX 40 will go for a ride under the seat of my car.

I'm a skinny guy so usually it's a Kahr CM9. Very thin and easy to conceal. I wear it hip 4:00, jeans pocket, or ankle depending on what I'm wearing. If it's cold and I can wear thick clothing, then I might take my Glock 19. I keep a Kahr CW45 in my car in a safe box under my seat as well.

They are the Talon Grips Pro texture. I had the same issues with the rubber and granulated version. I ended up sanding down the granules. I like the Pro grips. The only thing I've done to them is remove the backstrap portion to make them less likely to snag on my cover garment. They are slightly thicker, but that hasn't been a problem for me.

If you're interested, I did a rather lengthy write-up here: Talon Grips Pro - Range Update!

Shield 45, every day. The only exception? Some occasions call for something a little smaller & lighter, then it's a Shield 9mm.

It varies from day to day. I had to carry what the bosses said for 25 years, now I carry whatever strikes my fancy. Most days, though, this 1960 Colt Cobra gets the nod.

Pick it up, give it a shake to make sure it’s loaded, then right front waistband. FBI loads, no spare ammo. It’s so light I can forget it’s there. Cover with unbuttoned Aloha shirt, ready to go.

If I know I’m going in or through Denver these days I up my game to a .357 Sig.
