The Christmas classic movie, "It's a Wonderful Life" will be on NBC tonight at 8:00 PM. I had the distinct pleasure of appearing in stage productions of it in Chambersburg, PA and Frederick, MD. A few years ago the movie theater over in Gettysburg showed this movie and it was an amazing experience to see it on the big screen. I watch the movie on TV every year and to me it never gets old.

"It's a Wonderful Life" was a great movie the first dozen or so times I saw it. But its been repeated every year for so long and so many times that I just can't stand it anymore.

My favorite Christmas movie? Die Hard. I watch it every year. :D

Well...my second favorite "Christmas" movie, Stalag 17, isn't really about Christmas, per se, but takes place over Christmas, 1944...

And my favorite Christmas movie is Holiday Affair, with Robert Mitchum and Janet Leigh. New York, after World War II...a veteran trying to get his life figured out meets a young war widow with a boyfriend...great story...

My wife floods the house with the newer sappy Christmas movies in ION TV. All day Sunday currently, but it will increase!

For me.......?

Lethal weapon has nice xmas trappings, but for a giving spirit popeye doyle has the edge as Santa in the french connection, but if you want the ultimate xmas movie, it has to be john wick!, why you ask? Here ya go.......
1 chocolate money, you don't think those gold coins are real do you.
2 the dog, an unexpected gift.
3 looking for his tree decorations in the basement he's pissed he can't find them and kills the floor.
4 a snowflake, this all starts because of young tarasov, a whiny punk.
5 gift wrapping, the bodies done in cling wrap, very festive.
6 lots of peeps have their gooses cooked.
7 where the are the ladies? making xmas happen while holding down jobs.
8 lots of family arguments.
9 the fancy xmas style party, complete with dancing and camaraderie.
10 religious signalling, after the party he goes to church to see the vicar.

So with those thoughts I'm gonna watch "my" fave xmas movie tonight.

A Christmas Carol (Geo. Scott)
Miracle on 34th Street
Christmas Vacation
Home Alone
Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Charlie Brown Christmas
Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer
Elf
Die Hard
Die Hard 2
Fiddler on the Roof (family tradition)

...probably a few more.

I agree with "Die Hard"
The original, the quintessential Christmas movie. 😎
Watch it every year at this time to get in the Christmas spirt.
