My First 1911! (Pic Included)

Well I finally pulled the trigger!

It was a really tough call btw the S&W 108282 and the Ruger SR1911 but I went with the S&W.

Here she is after an initial field strip, quick clean, lube and reassembly. Now to get to the range!

Very nice. I've had my 5" 1911 for years but had to add the bobtail Sc a while back. I bet you can't own just one! Look forward to a range report.

I like the CT grips so I ended up with them on the bobtail and am quite happy with it.

The first 1911 I ever fired was a Wilson Combat model that cost about $2500+. Not being able to afford that model, I test fired about 10 different manufacturers 1911s before choosing the S&W. In my opinion, the S&W was closest to the Wilson. Smooth as silk and accurate as can be. I think you did well.
