Hi,

I recently was very fortunate to be given a 8 3/8 29-2 .44 Mag!

All of 4 shots fired and in the box but sadly no owners manual etc...:-( she'll go beautifully with my 28-2 and I can even swap the Ahrends grips I've got between them ;-)

Congatulations on a fine gift. Are you going to shoot it or keep as is? Brian

I've only seen it once while I was organising a deal for a Mossberg 500, at the last minute the guy decided to through the M29 in too! It's sitting in the dealers safe along with my M28 and the shotgun while I put the licence applications together. Then it's a matter of "hurry up & wait" while the Police decide if I'm allowed to have them >:-{

When I find out more I'll post the info and a couple of photo's, if possible.

I'll have to shoot it as we have to prove a need for the licence and then also prove that we use the weapons too.

Granted, this shouldn't be much of a hardship, but just what do the blonkers care whether you fire off a few rounds or not? Do you have to take them the empty cases? :rolleyes:

Congrats! That was my first 44 also, a blued 8 3/8" in the pres. box. I still have it and love busting that sucker out at the range, most people don't even know what it is, if it's not a Glock or a XD it's primitive! I paid $500 for it many years ago, and thought it was a ton of cash. I should have bought many more at that price. Hang onto your wallet they can be very addictive!

Welcome to the forum

Hell in SA you could put that gun to full time use shooting Ivory poachers...not quite a FN-FAL, but a whole bigger hole and more fun
