I thought it was about time to get modern and get myself a 40-caliber handgun. I don’t care for the looks of the Smith’s and the Glock’s so I rounded up some pieces and parts and will just make my own. This is not a kit, just odds and ends. The barrel is a cut-off from a rifle project a friend finished. It has been swamped and a homemade breech plug fitted. The lock is a Siler small flintlock. And just look at the nice grain in that piece of Curly Maple. I’ll post pictures when it’s finished in a few months.

Now THAT looks like a great .40 cal project. I really like flinters, esp. flint pistols. They are just so much fun to shoot!
