My First Bodyguard

I just got off the phone with Smith and Wesson. TAccording to them the gun was made in 1983 and they don't have the original thumb piece. He said " "call this guy" which turned ot to be Mike at Guns and Gun Parts, 413-732-9938, in Mass. He has the part and he's shipping it out tomorrow.

Replaced cylinder Latch With Correct Type

I replaced the newer cylinder release latch with the correct style.

Very nice. That's the first thing I noticed was the incorrect thumb latch. While I do agree that the new design is easier to use, it just doesn't look right on an older gun.

Nice gun and some honest holster wear gives them character is all. I bought one some time ago in very nice condition with a Tyler grip, box, papers and vintage holster.
I carried it awhile but put it in the safe in favor of a worn Model 36 and 37 for carry. Now I need to find a worn one I won't mind mucking up a bit.
