I had a chance to haul the guns outside for a picture. It was too bright in the sunlight and too dark in the shade. I'm pretty dissappointed in the quality of the photo. The dang 3" 24-3 is crooked. Musta been the wind. :)

Anyway, guns are from top to bottom, left to right:

1905 4th change target model, 15-2, 15-4, 17 no dash, 19-3
24-3 (3"), 24-3 (4"), 24-3 (6 1/2"), 25 no dash, 25-11 Heritage
pre 27, 27-2, pre 28, 28-2
29-2, 29-2, 57 no dash, 586-3

Not a lot of strategy went into this collection except for the model 24-3's (I wanted one of each barrel length). I just bought what I liked when I found a deal.

All of the guns are around 98%+ except the 28-2 has a spot on the barrel where it looks like somebody spilt a drop of something on it (I kinda covered up with cold blue), and the 1905 4th change was factory reblued in January of 1947. A number of the guns are NIB, or LNIB. I have boxes or presentation boxes for 10 of the 18.

If anybody else wants to post a group photo, I'd like to see them. Mine's pretty modest compared to a lot of the board members, but it's a start.

No, our fence pretty much hid them. I did it while the wife was out, too. I never hide purchases from her, but I think she might have a bird if she saw them all at one time. :)

Now that is funny. There might be a few of us on here that can relate. No way would I want my wife to see them all laid out. She always says they all look alike to her. ;)

You're showing 20 guns to my bakers dozen but I would never want my wife to see them all at once...the new shoes and purses penalty would be way too high!;)

Nice! I only have 3. A model 19-4 4" a 25-2 and a 29-2 8 3/8 but its a start. Right now I'm looking for a model 38 to carry.

Wow...I think you collection is fantastic. You should be very proud of it!

I understand the thing with the wife also. :D

I figure the Smiths will get handed down to my three boys. 6 guns each, I guess, unless I buy more before I croak. :)

That is exactly why I keep acquiring them

I always loved revolvers but never bought them when I was younger

which would have been easy because they were everywhere
Each passing year it becomes more difficult by the time they are grown
I think it will be like picking up a python now.

All mine I'm trying to make special right down to the shoes

Great collection

Modest you say ? ;)

Nice collection Steve. We all should be that lucky. Considering you only had 5 Smiths when you joined in January, you've done quite well. Now I want to know when we are gonna go shoot some of them and are you saving your brass for me?

Also, my new bird dog will be ready for pheasants this fall. Just sayin'.....
