My First Engraved S&W

The revolver is a thing of beauty. I have several El Paso Saddlery holsters. They are an excellent choice for that beautiful revolver.

Your model 66 turned out beautifully. I am glad the roasted Maple grips work with it by not distracting but adding an elegant touch. The color looks great against the finish.

Forum member Doc Barranti does beautiful floral holsters you should check out. I LOVE his work. If you go to his profile he has an album showing some of his artistry. If you are on facebook you can see more details of his work there. If the holster is lined with something soft it should not scratch.

Stunning.......... Doc Barranti or even Purdy Gear for such a fine 66. Don't forget the matching belt and ammo carrier.

Your gun came out great. The 3" bbl, the bead sight, the engraving and the grips all came together nicely. Not sure if I would carry it but would buy a nice holster for display or going to a BBQ. I would shoot it for sure.

I found an engraved gun, a 3" 625 Bank Note at Tulsa for a reasonable price and will shoot it. I want to enjoy it more then taking it out to oil it occasionally. I figure that when I'm gone, I won't know what it sells for or one of the kids will enjoy it. The 625 has been on display at the NE Ohio bunch twice. Larry

Thanks!

Thanks everyone for sharing the thoughts and pics of your favorite holsters and engraved S&Ws... Decided to go with El Paso Saddlery -- mainly because I have some good history with them... I'll post a pic when I receive...

Thanks again...

Simply beautiful. I don't usually go for ornate guns, but for whatever reason engraved revolver often "just do it" for me. I think you chose well. Enjoy it
