Hello guys!

So I've got my first gun which became the target version of 5906, Super9.

from what I heard from the previous owner there would be around 4k rounds through it.

Now I want to change the recoil spring in it, it was S-shaped. And the slack spring because all the trigger weight is in the last stage before shot goes off.

Is there any manual for the super9 online? I want to get to learn the gun and trigger since it's fully adjustable.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum, but:

Or, as they say, "show us the picture or it didn't happen!"

Welcome to the forum. This is a great place for info. I will also be interested to responses to your questions as I don't know anything about a S&W Super Nine Target Champion. And yes a pic or two would be helpful.

Welcome and congratulations on your first gun. The Super 9 is an uncommon version of the 5906. Some of the folks here can probably answer about any question you may have about your Super 9.

So that's the result of trying to post pic's ;)

Not the best but at least you see that it's happened. Got the stock grips and the rubber Hogue ones, LPA-sights and SAO trigger

You do know you've started out at the top of the S&W mountain, right? :)

There are some excellent threads about the Super 9 on this Forum, and I'm sure you will enjoy reading them. I don't remember any that specifically address the questions you have, though. Probably will be fun trying to find the answers, though.

Our European friends are quite familiar with the "Target Champion" designation on S&W pistols of several different models, all of which were produced for the German company Wischo and named that way for marketing purposes.

Have fun at the range, sir! Getting a "shooter" Super 9 in such great condition is a coup for sure!

Oui!

That's a heck of a pistol for your first. Its like getting a Rolls for your first car :D Welcome to the board and enjoy your Super 9

6518, thanks for the information on the Super 9.
Stridsbagge, Excellent pistol. I'm waiting on a 4" 5906 that I just purchased. Had I known about these, I would have searched for one. If you have any information on where another one is, please let me know.

Thanks for all the replies! I'll read the thread thoroughly tonight after work.

Well I started with competition shooting here in Sweden, mostly precision at 25m. And stumbled across this one for a decent price, so I would guess this is an early german super9 before they were renamed target champion, since it has the lpa sights and hogue grip.

Which the American PPC-9 doesn't?

Stridsbagge, congratulations on the Super 9, it is the first I have seen with a MSF87xx serial number. I updated my Super 9 thread with a parts list that should help you order replacement parts from S&W.

On a side note, I recently picked up a Ljungman AG-42B that hails from your country, a very fun rifle indeed.

Thank you skjos!

Those ljungman rifles aren't very common.... I've never heard of anyone having one.
How hard is it for you to get a hold of 6,5x55 rounds/brass?

Not hard at all, I typically find the least expensive price on ammoseek.com and place an order.

Now finding .356TSW that is a challenge; I guess I'm lucky my Super9 did not come with that barrel.
