I went to the range today and let one of my friends shoot my M&P 10 thinking he would be all " this thing is awesome ". Well, he did kinda. It would have been better if he didn't have three failure to feeds. It actually bent the cases  When I got home and started reloading the mags I noticed one of them had a very soft spring. I pulled it out and stretched it out. Hopefully this is what caused the problem. If it is I can only blame myself for leaving the mags fully loaded for a few months.

Probably not the cause. I would open a call about the mag, and see what they have to say. Mags should be good out of the box.

Grip (aka limp wristing) could contribute.

It could be limp wristing since it has never happened while I was shooting. It was his first time shooting an ar type rifle.

The mags that cam with my M&P 10 were junk. Constant failure to feed right out of the box... I was pissed. Got some DPMS mags and it's been running fine since.

I forgot to mention it was a 20 round pmag.

Betcha mag is not the problem. I usually leave all of my mags for all of my guns loaded, never had a problem. The thing that causes spring fatigue is use, not compression. Now if you over-compressed the spring (21 rounds in a 20 round Pmag, then maybe.

Just do a quick google search and you can see what I am taking about.

Did they jam under the bolt? Is yours stock, and have you modded the gas port?

Where do your cases go, 3, 4 o-clock?
