You need as many as it takes to fill a safe(s). I've run out of space and had to resort yesterday to trading. It's rare that I ever get rid of a gun but yesterday I was forced to trade one of my Kimber Ultras for a new Colt King Cobra.
After one gun it's rarely a matter of need. They're simply fun to own and shoot. My wife says we've worked hard all our lives and deserve pampering ourselves at some point. It's now the time!
