My first Walmart ammo line

At 3PM today they had very little ammo except for shotgun and a sign that they put their stock out at 9PM every day. I asked the clerk about .22LR and he just laughed. He said there's no stock being put out tonight. Cabela's is next door. Not a .22 box anywhere.

I think there needs to be a re-distribution for ammo like the income re-distribution plan federally. All the horders need to share with the rest of us!

Just because you order it doesn't mean it's coming. "You don't know" may just be the truth. Even if the store is invoiced, the shipment may not be on the truck.

Don't get me wrong, I've been frustrated and I've also run across the "associate took the keys home" in multiple stores lately (hand to forehead) and I'll be one of the first to call corporate if I can prove "foul", ... BUT, ... give these folks a break.

I agree that, in general, they have handled it well. However, if somebody gives me a "Joe took the only key home" excuse at a store that MAKES keys, I smell a rat.

Not me, it's a key to a cabinet that's not really important to their bottom line. More keys means more to watch. I believe there is the single key and that, on occasion, the employee forgets to leave it back when leaving.

When I worked third shift I'd hit the WalMart just before 0700 on my way home.

My favorite was when I would have somebody paged for sporting goods. 15 minutes later some kid would come shuffling up...

"Can I help you?"

"Sure can. I need to get some ammo."

"OK. I need to go back to the other end of the store & get the keys." :facepalm:

What the Sam Hill did he think he was going back to sporting goods at 0700 for? :doublefacepalm:

My local WM has a huge amount of .223 on the shelf, and a bunch of handgun calibers, but hasn't had 22's for at least 3 weeks. They even have some ammo cans of the most expensive 9mm and .223 that I have seen. $497 before tax on 1,200 rounds of 9mm $0.44/round, and $457 for 720 rounds of .223--$.66./round. Think they said Made in Turkey on the side of the cans
