My M&P .22 mods

Do you have more info about removing safty lever and where to get plug you talked about

Search for a thread called M&P 22 Safety Plug. He's making them personally and shipping them out. He's a little backed up and waiting on black instead of white material, but he has his email on there of how to contact him.

Where did you purchase the mount. Am I correct in that this is a dovetail mount for a regular M&P and not the sight mount. I like your setup. Did the weight affect the cycling of the slide. Did you have to use a more powerful round.

No problems at all with cycling. The mount is the mount that came with the site. You just need to do a little fitting for the .22 and I'm sure that it will work fine for my M&P 9 also. The sight with mounts is about $50 more but I now can mount this on at least 7 guns that I have now

Just keep in mind that with the standard Burris, Leupold, and others Red Dot mounts you eliminate your rear sight. If this isn't critical they work very well.

Still looking John Alcuin looks like it might be a winner, but thers also tactical innovations both real nice. That's where I'm at with that league starts soon so ill have to make a choice soon.

Update: I'm now having trouble cycling federal bulk, it seems I'm into a bit of underpowered rounds as it has trouble sending the slid back far enough to strip the next round. I'm thinking about having the slide milled to lighten it up a bit. Anyone have any other ideas ? I can't find replacement springs, I would like to play around with cutting the recoil spring and maybe the hammer spring. Anyone know where to get springs? I'll be using this gun for competition so a back up firing pin spring would be nice also!

Ya i have mixed results with federal bulk too. maybe switch ammo to see if that helps.

Mini-Mag and Remington Golden work fine, but the Federal Champion is weaker and sometimes short cycles my slide. Ejects but sometimes won't go back far enough to pick up a new round and closes on an empty chamber.

The gun runs flawless on mini-mags shot 5 stages without a single problem. I also have an H&K MP5 .22 and no matter what I put in it runs and runs with a couple thousand rounds through it I don't recall one single FTF. I ran federal bulk at this match in the H&K no FTF at all put the same ammo in my S&W and it won't run for more than 3 rounds before it misses a pick up?
