Thought I would share my thoughts on my new 151215LE M&P 9mm. This is the LEO version that comes with 3 magazines, night sights and the PVD finish. This particular gun sat for awhile on a dealer’s shelf. Date on the fired case is 10-18-13. The barrel has one dimple. The finish is dark and non-reflective. I like it.

This will be my 5th M&P. My others have all been in .45 acp. This has the best trigger out of the box of all of them. A little heavier than I like but usable. Distinct sear reset. Trigger pull a little gritty but not bad. This is the first one that I don’t feel the need to start swapping in Apex parts from the start.

I took it out to my desert shooting spot to see how she runs. I put about 150 rounds through it of cast 125 grain reloads, FMJ 125 grain reloads and Federal 9BP 115 grain JHP. The only problem was with the cast loads that I believe will be resolved by adjusting the cartridge OAL. Not the fault of the gun. Accuracy was fine. It shoots to point of aim. I shot out to 25 yards and would be able to ace my agency qualification with no problems. My groups tightened up as I got used to the trigger.

Bottom line is I’m satisfied with the gun and would have no problem packing it as my duty weapon.

Mandatory pic attached.

cb, Congrats on the new M&P! Very nice looking pistol :-)

How much different is the finish, as compared to a stock M&P? Sounds like it shoots very well, too. Enjoy your new pistol and keep us up to date.

Congratulations. You got me beat I only have 4 M&Ps -working on my 5th LOL. Seriously I really like the 9.

Here is a shot next to my mid-size .45. PVD finish on the left.

Nice looking set of M&P's cb. How would you compare the two?

I have the FS 45 and a standard M&P 9. Both very nice, accurate handguns. I have the medium backstrap on the 45 and the large on the 9, so they both have similar feel in the hand.

I have the small backstrap on both. The .45 is a little thicker on the grip but still feels great. I like them both. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the .45. .45 acp has always been my favorite handgun caliber and this one has the Apex DCAEK kit. The 9mm trigger is usable but not as nice.

I put another 100 rounds through the 9mm today. It's a real sweetheart to shoot.
