Bought the 617 from someone who ordered two, then decided they didn't want them. The 19-5 is from a Sheriff sale and I'm very happy with it. Only problems are the lack of the factory grips, and finish pitting on the backstrap from sweaty hands. Not that bad. I was very happy to get the gun for about $390 OTD. S&W revolvers are usually scarce, and high in my area or Arkansas for some reason.

You can order S&W factory magna grips from their web site.

That measly collection will do everything most any shooter would wish to do.
Anything else is gravy.

With that pair you can have a lot of fun at the range and also protect yourself just fine. As for the model 19 grips, place an add here in the wanted to buy section and I'm sure someone will come up with a proper set for you.

+1

I have just as many revolvers, don't consider them 'measly'! K-frame 13 and a 642. Fun at the range and well protected, anything more is gravy.

Those are great guns of course and a great start! Congrats....

Great decisions on those two. A great personal defense and big game hunting pistol and a great plinking gun and small game pistol!

Nice indeed ! The #19's/66's are my all time favs. It's probably was carried alot and used little . good score

Nothing wrong here.

You have 2 great guns to have! While adjustable sights are great - I went with fixed and went with a 681. There is never anything wrong with classic's. And you have 2.:D
