Thanks, figured it had to be good-VG. As most of its silver survived.
Also is said to have an excellent action, lock up and timing.
With slight wobble.

Just noticed its missing its front site. :o
Not sure how big of a deal that is?
I do have a 3rd issue parts gun handy.
No idea if they shares the same front site though?

MCM, I can't help with your sight question but I suspect the sights are the same. Pulling the sight from the barrel might be a headache as they are punched (pressed) in securely and there isn't much to grasp.

".. is the Model 1 market picking up?". I can't tell but searching for revolvers that were made 100+ years before I was born is challenging.

Not sure if there is much interest right now. There is with me though. So am now getting all the antiques I have been looking at over the past 30-40 years. Not as an investment. Just a hobby. And it seems to be a great time to be a buyer. Have picked up around 20 in the past couple months. Lost count. Mainly S&W, but also C Sharps, Rem 41 derringer, Colt open top 22, Hammond Bulldog, etc. Made a list and only have 3-4 to go. This #1 was the most expensive of the bunch. Less $$ than they used to be, but not all that easy to find. Could not pass these two up. Just part of the new / old collection.

Only 160 years? OK, only 90 years before I was born. That one was the most difficult to find for me excepting a 1, 1, 1. A nice example is difficult to find.

Like Ravens flipping cow patties looking for Grubs; keep turning over those stones as one can get lucky every now and again, I was. Keep in mind the "Thirty Year Rule" also; things tend to float to the surface about then. I'll add that it pays to advertise ones wants. Folks laughed when I circulated my 'Wanted' list 20+ years ago as it had nothing but the rare stuff. I found those things that I listed on that flyer. It pays to advertise and buy it when it becomes available; it may not be available later.

I saw my 1-1-4 at our local gunshow twice but didn't buy it because it cost too much.
A little while later, it showed up on GB.
I bid on it but didn't hit the reserve.
It was relisted @ no reserve and then I scored.

Yep, finding them is tough. Then, figuring out what to pay is also tough.
Not sure if the 4th addition values are currently overly optimistic? under priced or spot on..... Again, not easy to tell.........Then there is how to accurately rate cond. But am semi new to these. So, maybe its just me.:)

Kurusu, I don't keep up with the current ammo market but to the best of my knowledge, BP .22 RF is not being manufactured today. The best substitute is smokeless CCI .22 RF CB Caps. Still, I don't shoot my Model 1's.

I think Allen meant to report back when it showed up.
(He gave me a heads up from my want add, but was already on my radar) Thanks BTW...
The oldest 22 I shoot its a 1953 K22 Masterpiece.
I have little interest shooting these. None actually.
Am pretty sure they would all work, but dont see the point.

In the mail today. Cleaned it up a bit, and its in a little better cond. than I expected.
With a good bore. Always a good thing....
Silver looks dull in the photos, but is actually pretty bright.
