My New 442

I took my brand new, $279 no lock 442 today and dry fired it 500 times left hand, 500 times right hand, cracked it open and cleaned it then installed the Apex spring kit. Should make for a mighty fine gat.

The grips are Ajax (a Texas company now out of business). You see them every now and then on ebay or the classifieds here. Usually about $40 or so.

The price? One of the best (luckiest) deals I've found on a new gun in a long time. My local gun store has a big clearance sale about twice a year and they had all of their Smith & Wesson guns on sale for $100 off the standard price. Couldn't pass it up!
