My New E Series Repairs Completed

I received my new E Series pistol back from S&W today. I purchased the gun ~one month ago. When I locked the slide back for the first time it was extraordinarily hard to release. When I locked the slide to the rear the second time, I discovered my new unfired pistol had two scratches on the frame down to the bare metal. Sent the pistol back to S&W for examination and correction. The gun was returned from S&W today and looks fine. I will take her to the range tomorrow or Saturday and see how she performs. This gun is absolutely gorgeous IMO. Mine is the two tone, bob-tail, scandium. Sorry for not posting pictures, but I don't know how. So far so good, S&W customer service was very responsive to my concerns. They had the gun for approximately one month, but, in fairness, they were shut down for two weeks during that month

"E" Series

I have the same "E" Series gun as you and I am glad that S&W took care of you in a timely manner. This was my first bobtail 1911 and now, I wont but another 1911 without it.
