Hey guys, it's been a while!!

Just bought this a couple weeks ago. Mostly for ankle and pocket carry. I always have this gun on me, either as a primary or backup to my Walther PPS 9.

I don't carry the speed loader (just used it for the pic), it actually doesn't work that well with the factory grips......I carry a strip with extra rounds in my pocket. I have about 60 rounds through it.....no problems. This Air Weight model is super nice!

I have it's brother the S&W 638-3,Airweight,it's very light in weight.I'm thinking about adding the S&W 642 to my collection.

The 642 is about as good as you get for an EDC no matter what the weather. I carry 45s when weather permits and the situation allows. My 642 is my go to gun when you have to go for maximum concealment. It is accurate with practice for what it was designed to do. Paint the front sight with bright orange paint. Good luck.

Great gun. I found a pristine 642-1 NL that someone had a trigger work performed on and decided they didn't like the recoil and subsequently traded it in. Timing is everything and I was happy I was there to snap it up. Now I have a snub nosed pocket gun to alternate with my 360J...

Can a 340PD carrier chime in? Nice choice in a lightweight revolver. Those things are easily carried in a pants pocket. I went with Crimson Trace LG 405 laser grips which are great for shooting from awkward positions as well as a great training aid.

Good choice! I have a few carry guns but find my 642 in my pocket more often than any other.
