I know how you feel. I have one i bought new in August 84 to go along with my 4" 24, I bought in 83. Love them both. So much so that I bought the the same pair 4" and 3" in 624's when they came out in 85. I followed Skeeter in his love for 44 specials.

So maybe you can enlighten me... I love 44 magnum a lot, it's my favorite caliber. 44 special is entirely new to me. What is the reason people like 44 special over 44 magnum, if 44 magnum can do both (at least as far as a revolver specifically tailored to 44 special). I bought it because I've always heard it's accurate, and I loved the look of the gun, I also like 3" barrels, but the 44 special aspect was new to me
