I've finally found at least one thing different in this v2.0 compared with the original--the grip surfaces are MUCH grittier, so much so that's it's a bit uncomfortable.. Oh well, a file and Dremel-type grinder will fix that..

Magazines are the same as far as I can tell; I now have eight for my two pistols.. I keep five--including the three in or with the pistol--in the living space and loaded with Barnes 140g. TAP/XPD ammo and three loaded with 180g. HSTs with the other pistol in the safe.

Got to the indoor range today.

I used four of my nine magazines and five of my loads including three handloads.. The pistol and all the loads and magazines functioned perfectly.. When I'm just holding it, the V2.0's grip surface is very sharp and NOT comfortable, but when I shoot it, I never notice that.

My factory-new Barnes TAC/XPD 140g. and proposed handloaded PD rounds--new nickled, primed cases, Barnes 140g. TAC/XP bullet, and 7.3g. of LO-FLASH HS-6--both shoot dead-on at 5-7 yards...when I manage to pay attention to the front site. :o

I'm happy. :)

Nice!

Suggest on the grip texture you slide a piece of bicycle inner tube over it instead of trying to smooth it. I did it to my Shield 45. It makes a world of difference when it comes to comfort and it's thin enough that it won't make it too bulky.

I have one I bought about a year ago and the grip takes some getting used to but I have grown to like it. I also have a 9mm barrel and mags for it so it is actually two guns for the price of one and a half.

Excellent choice! I have a 2.0 40 fullsize without the thumb safety. One of my favorite guns to shoot, and another plus is there is still plenty of .40 ammo on the shelves at my lgs. I'm glad alot of people think .40 is dead. That just means I dont have to stop shooting during the corona bug.

Btw, I am a huge fan of the grip texture on the 2.0
I carry a 2.0 9mm Subcompact iwb daily, and it doesn't bother me at all. And while shooting, it sticks to my hand, and I never have to adjust my shooting grip.YMMV. Enjoy taming that beast.

New member here. Just bought the Pro Series .40 M&P 2.0, 4.25" Not new to guns, new to the M&P platform. Comes with the Hi-Viz Fiber, those will go, hope to replace with Heinie Straight 8's.
