I was disappointed when S&W reintroduced their Model 19(-9) Classic in 2017. The Model 19 was discontinued before they added the lock so until the Classic, no model 19 had been made with the lock.
But, since Model 19s are my thing and I couldn't say I had (at least) one of every engineering change unless I bought a 19-9, I got the 4.25" ((12040) version.
I prefer the snub 2.5-3" but the only versions of those are the PC K-Comps.
Then they come out with the no lock revolvers and the Model 19 is a -10 so i gotz to have one but now the only no lock snub is a K-Comp PAINTED green....

So, this is my Model 19-10.

I’d buy that. The stainless on blue looks so much better than the dark accents on stainless, a la M66-8 and 69…

Edit:
If you get bored of that, be sure to let me know,

I keep coming back to this thread to look at your pics. To be honest i was never really a pinto fan, but I find myself smitten with your creation.

Shades of Robert Blake in "Electraglide in Blue"! Nice looking.(y)

How did you install the stainless barrel and shroud? Do you have access to the special tool S&W uses to torque the barrel that engages the rifling? Or, did you make a tool to torque the barrel?

Sorry, but I wish I could unsee that. As an owner of a 66-8 and a 19-9, which are both fantastic revolvers, it looks like managed to turn them into one Tarus looking wannabe. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
