I traveled North 40 miles to a small gun show and now find myself to be the proud possesser of a Regulation Police 32. I wish to know approx. the ship date. Left grip stock is stamped PAT. June 5 1917, no serial number inscribed inside with stock half. Serial number on the gun, all matching, is 387707.
Thank you.

Congrats!

From my database likely shipped August 1924.

The stocks will not have medallions if original. The s/n on the back of the right stock is penciled on. You'll need bright sunlight and a 5 power glass to read it. It can be read right side up horizontally with stock lying on its back edge.

I found the s/n on the right panel, it matches. I've watched for one of these 32 R.P. revolvers for several years, they just don't come out in public much in this area. I have a nice 38 R.P. from the same time period and now I have the pair. Probably paid more than the "going rate", but now I have them. Thanks.......

It's a keeper!

You didn't pay too much, you just may have purchased it a little early. (smile)
It'll be worth more than you paid before you know it.

It's hard not to like those wonderful little I frame revolvers. We would like to have more photos to drool over, and be sure to give us a range report when you have had it out.
