My new S&W 43C

I don't know why I need one.
I guess hammerless it can be fired from inside a coat pocket.
Surprise! , bad guy, you didn't know I had a pistol in my pocket.

I bought this perfect 317 at a show for $450. 2 months ago.
Stiff trigger pull and all forged parts.

I'll let you cats have the new 43c s'

Cool little gun though.

I got my 43C in yesterday, on the eighth. The number on the box indicates the 43C was built( born, assembled, put into the system) on December 1. I like to get my guns fresh and new. It's had more time in a UPS vehicle than on the shelf. It fits my Blackhawk Serpa holster perfectly. I've got a supply of WW 555's, Federal bulk pack, and some R-P bulk pack to try in it this weekend. I think it's going to be the perfect trainer for my 340 M&P. My M&P 22 pistol is due in today also. Been waiting on it all year also. Bob!

I shot my 43C again yesterday. I shot 50 rounds of Winchester Wildcats and did a lot better this time. I didn't try to see how fast I could empty the 8-shot cylinder, but took my time. Such a smooth trigger and not hard to pull. I really love this little gun.

They are still showing available at Bud's Gun Shop as of 3:00pm EST.

Nice gun. Saw it on Bud's earlier today and thought - never saw that one before, cool. Now I know why.

Aluminum cylinder?

Can anyone with experience shooting the 43c or the airlite 317 comment on the cylinders....I believe they are aluminum. If so, how are they holding up to regular use? Any peening of the cylinder stop notches or other issues? How about sticky extraction? I really like the idea of a j frame fixed sight snub for practice.

Both the 43C and 317 have aluminum cylinders. I'm sure there are others on this forum that have shot theirs more then I have, but I have shot my 3 inch 317 anly about 500 times and the 43C about 150 with no problems. No peening or sticky extraction. I expect to shoot the 43C a lot this winter, because I got it to practice for my 340 M&P. Same size and sights, less recoil and cheaper ammo. Also using 22 Caolibri ammo(which has no powder-just uses the primer at about 350 fps) in my garage I can practice anytime in any weather.

Thanks very much, I have the same ide and wanted to know what folks who owned them thought.

Aluminum cylinder is not a problem. Have a 317 2 in. with 10,000+ rounds. Brush cylinder after 50-100 rounds and use resonably clean ammo. I log all the rounds I shoot and usally do not shoot in excess of 100 rounds. BTW the trigger gets better and the finish gets worse.

I went by my local dealer today just to see if they might have one. They did and its sitting in front of me now.I think its super and can,t wait to shoot it.My New Years Present ??

Our shooting range is closed in December but reopens Jan 4 th.My trigger is smooth but VERY HEAVY . What to do about that? A lighter coil spring maybe but what size? I don,t want miss fires.
