Took this one home and I'm very happy I did. It came with it's proper box which indeed has the red circle "C". So...it's good to go!

That's one of my "grail guns" that I have always wanted, but always seemed to be on the back side of price wise. Every time I see a nice one I think "that's just too high", and the prices always seem to keep climbing........... I'm going to just have to bite the........ wallet, and get one. My 696 ND is lonely........

Congratulations on the purchase!

I found one of these 25 or more years ago in a little gun shop outside Christiansburg, Virginia. Had time to kill between meetings, walked in, saw it in the case, and bought it. I knew nothing about guns at the time except that one spoke to me.

Whuurr's the pitcher???? I know in 25 years of time yuh done took some!

One day I'll find mine..........:D

I can’t remember whether or not this actually is a Lew Horton gun. I do know that Smith & Wesson confirmed it was not in the serial number range affected by the recall (cylinder hardening IIRC).

Nice big bore CCW.
I'd love to have one just like it - but these days they are way out of my price range.
So, for now, I'll have to be content with my Jovino Terminator.
Very similar to your 624 - though the Terminator will actually handle 44 magnums (if you're up to it ;) )

Congrats on your purchase. What does the red circle "c" mean? Custom?
That particular model had a factory recall. The red circled "C" on the label indicates it was returned to S&W and passed inspection.
