I just bought this sweetie from a friend of mine. I had the guys here check the serial number and it appears to be circa 1978-1979. It took a bit of cleaning, but now she's ready to go.
Very nicely balanced. The stocks look better in the picture than they actually are. They're not bad mind you, but the picture makes them look great. The funny thing is, my friend had lent this revolver to somebody years ago and just took it back because he wanted to start selling some of his guns. When he got it back the guy (elderly) had put shiny shellac or something on the grips and WITHOUT taking the stocks off of the frame first! It took me at least an hour to steel wool the stocks back to a decent luster (shellac was actually pooled in the thumb detent area) and use mineral spirits to remove shellac from the back strap and other areas on the frame and side plate. Funny stuff. For $450 it was well worth the effort.
Good job! I have a 67 no dash (1973) Mine has the early all stainless rear sight. It has modified Herrett Target stocks with a twist. Enjoy your 67! Bob
