My new to me SW9VE.....What's wrong with this?

OK, after procrastinating for a while, I finally got around to shipping the gun back to S&W today. Let's see how long it takes.

I also asked if I could keep the wrong slide as kinda a collectors error...wonder if they'll oblige me?

3 weeks from the day you drop it at Fedex. I sent mine in for trigger work and it better than new. In fact i find that i have become a better shot as a result. If it was me I would have kept it as is. Not sure where the gun market will go but in automobiles errors like that are worth thousands.

Thanks...I thought about that, but it seems it wasn't that rare of a mistake. Apparently they know the serial numbers of the batch that went out with the wrong slide.

Well, if they let me keep the slide, then it's all good.

Hindsight. You could have put that one to the side and bought a legit 9VE. You still can if they send the slide back. For some reason I think they'll keep that slide. One mistake out of circulation.

OK, FedEx just delivered my 9VE. They didn't leave me the old slide. Would've been surprised if they did.

Anyway, it's got the correct slide, and they replaced the Sear housing assembly.

Pretty fast service.

Sounds like Smith & Wesson's customer service came through yet again! Enjoy!
