I pick the gun up this Tuesday. My wife and I like to hike allot. Nothing real strenuous, or deep in the woods with bears and such. We prefer old Rails to Trails and similar venues. Never know what could creep up in today's world though. This will be much easier to carry than my 4" L frame 686...

Now that's my idea of a trail gun! Just enough but not too much.

Add a T-Grip and a nice holster and you're good to go.

That is a nice looking revolver you have there...I like it! Do have one question... you said you prefer Rails to Trails...My wife and I hike alot and I do not know what you mean by Rails...could to enlighted this old man?

added info : ok, so I googled hiking RR tracks and people do hike them. There is a group that does it here in Atlanta. Learned something for the day!
