My Newest Old Geezer

22-SS Gets a New Caretaker

Thanks, Larry. Glad that that old geezer wound-up with somebody that appreciates it. You do realize, of course, that you've got to post your results with it?

Cyrano, what can I say (...gotta lineup my excuses here)? Uh, it was all that cheap ammo's fault.....er, my el-cheepo scope was fogged up....I dunno. Those biathlons are indeed tack drivers; they are much more accurate than I am. I certainly believe that it could do as well as you say at 100 yds. It probably deserved better bullets and a better scope than what I've put on and fed mine. But, man....that just seems almost sacrilegious or something to do that. How else am I gonna have so much fun with a low buck firearm? I know that the quality is there, but geeze, sometimes cheap thrills are all we need. That thing goes with me to the range almost every time; it's a blast. My only complaint about it is that it's too heavy to meet the specs for rimfire sporter competition; wish that somebody would make a synthetic stock for them. -S2
