As some of you know I have been collecting these for a while now. I just added a few more with the help of a forum member. So heres a few pictures broken out a little bit but. I think I have at least one of every model offered, but not every variation of.

J Frames

3 M60 NY-1 All AWP serial Prefix, all have silhouette stamp. A NYPD 640 and a later 640-2 38 special.

A group of 64s NY-1 varying ages and dashes. 4" Square, 4" Round, 3" Round, 2" Round.

More of the 64s with doubles and two 1946 pre 10 NYPD guns. Both have badge numbers stamped on the grip.

We cannot forget that Ruger was the other supplier during this time so, this is what the offered. In no order, GPNY, SPNY, Speed Six, Police Special,

The accumulation all at once...

As far as I know its the only collection of all the DAO NY-1 guns with some extras.

I might actually start filling in all the variations of each model as time and funds allow.

Feel free to add yours to the thread.

I know not everyone loves NYPD or DAO guns but I enjoy them and hope you will too!

Very nice collection-I sold off my NY-1, 640, SPny and GPNY collection, all I was missing was the 4 inch RB NY-1 and the Mod 60 NY-1. It's nice to see a complete collection. Great guns with great history!

WOW! That is a mindblowing collection. Incredible work! Adopt me?

Never saw an NYPD 640, that is too cool. How do you come about that one?

Congratulations, that is a very nice collection.
I look at and enjoy all the family style threads but the ones that standout, are the ones with a thyme. Yours is at the top of that list.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you to everyone for the positive comments!

As for how I found many of these, well I live close to NYC so I hit up many of the LGS in the area. I travel the region for work and get around the Tri-State area. I also have friends here that keep an eye out for them and help me out when they find one or a collection of them.

I bought one or two from forum members, several from retired officers. Having a friendly gun shop in NY to do the transfers helps alot too.

Most of the time they sit locked up but its nice to take one out and shoot it, I have shot many of them but not all.

Its nice to take them out and showem off too.

Thank You!

Very cool collection. I have thought about doing the NYPD guns also but there are still a few S&W guns I would like to purchase before I start on that actively. I have the 640 my parents purchased it as a gift for me when I graduated the NYPD police academy and I will never give that gun up.
