I picked this up online late last year to replace a reblued heavy barrel 10-6.

It has stamps, probably rack numbers - two of them one on the left side on the frame above the trigger guard and below the cylinder. The other number is stamped on the frame directly in front of the trigger guard. On the left side of the barrel it's marked " WSS Quincy Ill."

The sn is D587XX

When I got it it was dirty, nasty, filthy and the grips were worn round. I had pair of grips and a Tyler-T and stuck those on. I still have the originals.

Seems to be a LOT of history with this one!

Looks like honest wear on that one. Do you suppose it was imported back
to the US by Williams Shooters Supply of Quincy?

Thanks everyone!

I had no idea that it was import marked - I'd never heard of WSS. I googled "WSS Quincy Ill." when I first got it and nothing came back...I wonder where it's been.

I'll get some picts up with the original grips.

I have one of those from "Williams Shooter Supply, Quincey Ill.", actually 2, I have a 10-5 that looks like yours and a 10-6 in better shape.

My LGS ordered 3 10-5's & I was in there the day they arrived and got to pick the best of the three, the worst is still there. I keep threatening to buy it, if he'll give me better than the usual deal.

The 10-6 came from a different LGS.
