I caught the revolver bug awhile ago and bought several S&W revolvers (and two Rugers). My S&W are (updated 6/9....went back to the gunshow today and traded my 360j for a 637 PC snub):

637 PC Gunsmoke with G10 Grips
686 3" .38 Special
686 3-5-7 3" .357mag/.38 Special
Model 60 Pro Series 3" .357 mag/.38 Special
317 snub .22LR

Was supposed to go to the range already but have been delayed. Just picked up the 3-5-7 and M60 Saturday 6/8. Got the 637PC Sunday 6/9 Can't wait to try all these out...hopefully next weekend. I don't shoot .357mag so normally try to purchase revolvers that are chambered for .38 Special only. But the 686 3-5-7 and the M60 Pro Series only come in .357mag/.38 Special which is why I went ahead and purchased them. I happen to love unfluted cylinders and 3" barrels.

Haven't done any mods to the guns other than changing out the grips on the 637PC.

No canted barrels that I can tell. I did look at FOUR 642s with enhanced action from the performance center and they all had front sights that curved to the right!!! Which led me to purchasing the 637PC Gunsmoke model. My 686 3-5-7 was purchased from an out of state dealer and the M60 was purchased locally. The fired case envelopes both have the same date of 5-10-13. Not sure how that applies to when they were made but at least they were test fired recently.

I do wish the M60 had the regular stainless finish so I could buff out small mars, etc but it doesn't come offered in any other finish.

This forum has been a WEALTH of knowledge and I thank all the members who have responded to my questions on various other posts.

You can look for a Model 60-4, which is J-frame perfection with a 3" barrel with full underlug, no MIM, No IL, .38 Special only, figing pin on the hammer, adjustable sights...and the standard stainless finish. Looks good and handles great with the Pro Series grips:
