My Shield .40 went kaboom today

During my range trip earlier today. I pulled the trigger on my Shield .40 exactly 300 times with some 180GR Winchester PDX-1 jacketed HP while running some SD drills. Because these are what I carry with me every day. And would u believe it the dang thing went Kaboom every time I pulled the trigger.

Kaboom i tell ya, Kaboom!!!!!!!!! :D

Oh God Smitty, you gave me a sick feeling in my stomach. Shame on you.
I keep telling you....when it shoots normally, that's called a KaBang.

I'm really sorry to hear that Smitty. Here I thought there'd be another juicy story about a Shield going kaboom with parts & shrapnel flying all over the place. I suppose now you're gonna tell me that you hit every spot you were shooting at, the sights were right on & the white dot didn't fly off. Where's the drama I was hoping for?

I agree. It's all fun and games when it didn't happen to you. We get it, you love your shield and don't like the idea of someone giving it any negative media. I was you. Then, kaboom.

Having said that, my wife has the 9mm and I sold my replacement .40 and am looking to replace it with another 9mm. Now if anyone starts talking trash about my 9's then I'm going to yell and poke fun at them.... yeah thats what I'll do!!! Get off my lawn and what not.

I'm just curious how he found and had enough moohlah to purchase 300 rounds of PDX-1.

Yes i know its only funny until it happens you. But keep in mind i never said it was funny. I just said that it went Kaboom or should i say Kabang as someone else stated. I just figured we all needed another Shield Kaboom thread. As though we didnt already have enough going on around here.

People just fail to realize that these Kabooms were around long before the Shield came into existence. So just because it may go Kaboom doesnt really mean its a bad weapon and we shouldnt own them. Anything mechanical can fail at any given time. Its the nature of the beast and its just something we have to be willing to accept..........But of course we could sell all of our guns and go back to collecting baseball cards, i suppose.
