My small Hogue collection

Hogue grips work well for me, so I thought I would post a couple of pictures. All are pau ferro, except for the goncalo alves on the 3".

Hogue makes some nice wood grips. I have several on my guns. They don't hold up too well on a 500 though....don't ask me how I know!

I've owned some nice Hogue grips in the past. Quality made. They used to make some J frame target grips like S&W used to sell, but I looked on their website a couple of weeks ago and didn't see any. Found some on ebay but $125. to $150. for factory grips are too much for me.

You have a nice collection of Hogues on a nice collection of Smiths, but I've never been fond of the finger groove grips for my use.

Fide686 - it looks like the far left revolver is a 4-inch cut to 3-inches, or am I seeing things? (it could be an original 3-inch). I saved the picture and zoomed it in but couldn't read the side of the barrel. That said, it looks a little like the work of a place up in New York ...

The Hogues are nice, but the revolvers that are wearing them are all knockouts.
That's like posting a pic of hot babes in bikinis and telling everyone to pay attention to the bikinis.

Good to hear the Hogues were ok for you fellas.

I bought one for my 686 and the fit was horrible -- returned for refund.

Hogue Makes some great grips and they are an even nicer family, good people.

All my revolvers have Hogue wood or rubber grips. Come to think of it, 2 of my 1911's have Hogue wood grip panels and my AR has a Hogue grip. I see a pattern here...

I have Hogue's on a lot of my guns, but I have three that I really like.

1) This is a 25-2. I found the grips on eBay but they had the wrong hardware. I have a contact at Hogue and got in touch. Not only did he send me the correct hardware, but he also told me that these grips were made by Guy Hogue himself...

2) This is a 28-2 converted to .44 Special with an original model 24 barrel, by George Matthews of Downey, CA. The grips are a linen Micarta and according to my contact (who remembered them) were one-offs with the customer supplying the material. Also found on eBay...

3) This is a pre-34 built on the I-frame - my father was the original owner and ha was a lefty - made his own grips, so I needed something to replace them. Also an eBay find. I don't think these are anything special, but you don't see many of them...
