Welcome to the Forum

You have a nice start on your Smith and Wesson addiction

I hope that we inspire you to keep it ever growing

My first NEW revolver was a 6" Model 27 that was bought over 4 decades ago. Many brethren have since joined it as I have a rather large fondness for the 27/327/627 and 57/357/657 families of Smith and Wesson revolvers

thanks gentlemen. Obviously I need a model 29 and 25. :-)

I'm trying to stay with pinned and recessed.

Well, you got a good start for your addiction. :D Real nice guns you got there. I am partial to the P&R guns too, but in 44 Mag I have newer guns. I have a 629-3 Classic and I just bought a 29-6 Classic a few weeks ago. Both are 90's vintage guns and have the Endurance package, but still have forged internals. Not that I would turn my nose up at a nice nickel 29-2 that came along tempting me with a low price. :D

Well done for sure. Definitely on the right track. Watch for good buys and you can't go wrong.

Edit - just don't follow my lead. I have this terrible habit of over spending. When I see something I want, well whats a few extra dollars? Sometimes he who hesitates misses out! Above all else have fun with it.

Just so you know, only Magnum and Rimfire revolvers had recessed cylinders.

So none of the older Model 25s will be recessed, just pinned

ahh...good to know. I did not know that. Nice revolvers there by the way.

Welcome to the FORUM! I have felt for years that I needed a 44 magnum. Last November I got a 6" 29-3. Really like it. April this year, I traded into a 4", 29-2.
Bottom line, is even though it it is newer than you would like, I enjoy my 25-15 (45Colt) much better than the .44's. Of course we all have our own opinions. Bob

Nice trio.I rember when I first got into this the five inch 27 was the barrel to get if you could even find one.At the time all through out the 1980's they brought a premium over any other barrel length.

That's three very nice guns and a fine start to S & W collecting.
Bird Gun, I really like the 25-5 of yours.
Walt
