My two favorite guns are Colt custom shop 1911s.

The one of top I just bought (a WWI re-issue in Carbonia blue).
The bottom one is an Anniversary 2011 re-issue in black oxide.

The Carbonia blue is mint but looks to have been fired before. Still came with all the boxes and paperwork.

The Anniversary model has never been fired and is pristine.

I’m going to test fire the WW1 model, and if she runs reliably, will carry it along with my other Colts.

Anyone have these versions of COLT’s re-issue?

I had them. I also carried one of the WW1 Model's in Carbonia blue, and it wore nicely. I like the look of them as they wear in.

Never fired. What are they going for?

All over the place, as is everything else. So, I don't want to give an opinion,. as it'll be lower than others probably.
( And I owned em- love em, and would buy another!)
But Im a little off....

I never saw them as really "collectible" ( hence the reason I'll carry it) but more as guns like the "Texas Ranger" version model 19, or the Winchester commemoratives.

The Aniv. one I got this year on consignment at a LGS (still ziptied) and paid $1,800. It was pristine and never racked.

This Carbonia blue WW1 I bought on auction and paid well north of 2k for it. This one has a serial number *outside* the recall range, so I was willing to pay the premium.

IMO, a Colt blue box Custom Shop gun is well worth ~2k, especially one that they will probably never make again.

I love 'em.

My Colt "1943" remake gets shot regularly. While I have some in my safe that are seldom fired, I don't have any unfired. And certainly not this one.

It's a great popper.
