My Ugliest N-Frame

Not due to abuse, but probably more because of utility in being carried,
this Highway Patrolman (N59883) won't win any beauty contests.
But, I've wanted one for a while and there just aren't too many around, these days.

On a good note: the bore and chambers are bright and pretty and the lockup is excellent.

'Came Wearing Ubiquitous Herrets

I like the gun & the Herrett stocks! Would work for me. Bob

Thanks, guys...

I won’t feel bad about tucking it into my waistband at 4 o’clock, IWB holster or not.

I can’t wait to shoot it, possibly this coming weekend with my 86 year old dad in SW Houston-Richardson area.

:D

Sure hope you get to enjoy range time with your Dad this weekend. See if he cracks a smile when you mention that one of your fellow forum members; merl67, made a great reference to calling it ugly is like saying Christie Brinkley is too. That should make his shooting experience more fun!

The title may be kinda' click-bait, but he did say it is HIS "ugliest" N-frame, not that it is necessarily a particularly ugly one - just the ugliest one in his collection. Which therefore means that the rest of his are even prettier. I certainly wouldn't feel bad about that.
And the title did what click-bait is intended to - it got some attention! :D

The S&W is my favorite ..... a BEAUTY !! I carried an issued M28 on duty with the Arkansas State Police - boy that shows my age. Liked it so much I bought one of my own years later, and carried it plainclothes. Qualified with it during the quarterly qualifications - even on the semi-auto course of fire. My oldest son has it now. YES, A BEAUTY.

Nothing at all ugly about that one; in fact, you have a ton of bluing yet to lose over the course of your life.

This is what basically a well-cared for shooter looks like. Use it and enjoy. :)

Maybe, "Ugly" Was the Wrong Word to Use

I drove from work in Austin to Selma (almost San Antonio) to trade a very clean cased Ruger P89 & $200.
(No regrets.) :D

Thanks for all the kind comments, shared HP experiences, and especially pictures of your fine HPs.
Range report inbound soon!

-Bill

In a better light, cleaned up a little...

Am I missing something here....???.... Looks perfect to me. I use to be a Box Gun Collector, way too many nit pickers in that club...now I shoot them ALL.
