My Victory

I posted about my Victory a while back on the SWCA board, Thought I should post it for all to see. I just got my letter for it yesterday. #V173284 was shipped 4/21/1943, to Blueridge Co. Inc. in Glasgow, VA. in an order of only 4 guns.

The Company made carpets before the war, but shifted to war materials during the war. They must have needed the guns for onsite security.

Highly likely to be a DSC Victory, intended for stateside use, not military. It should not have a property stamp on the topstrap.

Very nice looking piece. It certainly did not have a hard life. A friend of mine and fellow board member has a DSC Victory that shipped to Masland Carpets in Carlisle, PA. Seems they produced a rubber coated material that the government wanted......
