Yep folks some more of my crappy pics, but I figured I'd show off my zombie gun. It is a Stag Arms M-4 with a new UTG light I picked for $70 new, and a UTG rail conversion for the factory handguards. If y'all havent checked out UTG yet, they make some great products at very reasonable prices.

The light. This puppy puts out 250 Lumens and is convertable from a regular light with a button and a regular body to what you here see with a clamp body and pressure switch.

One more pic of the package. This is my baby zombie set-up with my 22 conversion unit and a Simmons 1x4 scope I have sighted in for 22's. I have the carrying handle, and a throw lever scope set-up for 223. The magazine in the gun is a 30rd Pro-Mag made for the conversion. New I bought it for $25 and it seems to work very good and a whole cheaper than the Ciener ones.

Very nice!

Zombies beware!

I'm slowly getting to the point where I'm about to buy my first M-4gery. I used to think I had no use for one, but lately I've been checking them out every time I see one.... I'm thinking the itch may be scratched pretty soon.. :)

Nice, Curtis. I have something similar from Bushmaster but w/o the goodies. What's the scoop on the .22 conversion if you don't mind? Educamate me a little...

I forgot to mention in the OP, but Stag at one time made both the Rock River Arms guns and the S&W M&P 15.

I bet I have owned 20 AR's over the years (mostly Colts) and this is by far my favorite. If youre are thinking of one get a 22 conversion for it. I bet I have shot way more 22's in this gun than 223...mostly CB longs in my garage...lol

22 conversion

Barry, mine is made by Ciener, and you can order direct from him for about $160.00 with a 10rd mag. You just slide your bolt carrier assembly out of your upper, and slide the conversion in. The conversion unit is self contained and consists of a chamber insert and its own bolt and recoil spring. These things are slick. At one time Colts were shipped with them and a buddy of mine had one but never played with it. After I told him how much fun they were, he dug his out too...over the course of a weekend he shot 3 Federal bulk packs through his and is HOOKED.

Hmmm, now I am much more interested in the .22 LR bulk packs at Wally....:p

Thanks, Curtis...

CMMG also makes a .22LR conversion that is drop in, CDNN regularly has them in stock. Some people prefer a dedicated .22LR upper for better accuracy.

Have you had a chance to use the UTG light much? They seem - to their credit - to constantly improve their products to the point that even some CMMG carbines now come with UTG quad rails. I'd be curious as to how well it holds up and the degree to which it eats batteries. UTG does seem to be the top of the line for Chinese imports.

I've been using pistol lights on ARs, though the factory rep from at least one company told me to be careful about such and to consider getting one of the metal body lights meant for carbines. I've been meaning to just mount the Surefire Devastator that I have laying around, but I've more M4s than lights laying around, so a low cost option would be of interest. The Devastators are durable enough, but unfortunately eat batteries at the rate of 4 x 123 cells for only 15 minutes of light with the brighter bulb assembly installed.
